WIPO launched “IP Advantage”; this is a new database which brings together the intellectual property experiences of inventors, creators, entrepreneurs and researchers.

The aim of this tool is to promote a better understanding of how intellectual property is created and protected, and how inventors, creators and society at large benefit from the intellectual property system.

The intellectual property case studies included in IP Advantage show how intellectual property works in the real world and how intellectual property rights can be used to promote innovation in different countries.

IP Advantage tool is free, user-friendly and currently features over 100 case studies from 48 different countries.

It is programmed to increase the number of intellectual property case studies in the database, and include French and Spanish versions. The database will be regularly updated with new intellectual property case studies.
