  • The Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC) is launching a new Chinese character internationalized domain name on May 31, 2011.

There will be a pre-launch priority registration period from February 22, 2011 to March 10, 2011.  Holders of an existing non-Chinese character domain name in Hong Kong (e.g. BRAND.com.hk), which was registered before January 31, 2011, will have priority to apply for a new [Chinese characters] domain name.  The two domain names will be bundled together to have the same contact and registration particulars.  They must also be maintained, renewed or transferred together.

Even though Bonaire,Saba and Eustatius are part of Netherlands, they will not use the suffix for Netherlands ( .nl ).
